You should have arrived here from our very talented and my dear friend Priyadarshini Deshpande's blog.
If not make sure you begin the re-creational hop from the INDIAN CRAFT ROOM!

I was on cloud 9 when I was selected as GD for my card I made for ICRC5 where the theme was to interpret the word RAIN + deck up the inside or an envelope.

And I made this card with my very basic craft supplies.

You can find more details about the card here

Based on the same theme, I made a Bitsy bluebell card...  The clouds are hand drawn and colored with Faber Castel water color pencils. The tiny hearts are leftovers that Jovita sent me along with decorative circles die-cuts which I used in my telescopic cards.. And the big hearts are stickers.

An inspiration for CraftyJC Challenge #14

Hello people!

Today its my turn to provide an inspiration for the current challenge at CraftyJC as this desktop calendar of mine was choosen as one of the top 3 creations of Challenge # 13 :D. The theme is Valentine + no red. This time I tried a new type of card. Its called telescopic card.  Here it is:

You can find the tutorial here. It's a 3 layered card which is perfect to say those 3 golden words "I love you" :) I have used 3 different sized decorative hearts circle diecuts.  I just love the way it opens up. To make each circle slide, I have used some brads.

Here is the full view.

Papers are from Echo park (courtesy ImaginationsOnline.com), Some Itsy bitsy alphabets and 3D stickers. Swirls and rhinestones are from PieLane. I have tied a little ribbon at the top for hanging.
I hope you liked it.

I am entering it into following challenges:
1. Indian Craft room - Feel the love
2. Pretty Paper Shop - Something with word "You"
3. Simon says stamps - Love is in the air
4.  Divas by design - Love
5. The pink elephant - Pink

Happy crafting!

1st Birthday card for a boy

Hi All,

How have you been? I hope everyone is doing great. I was away from blogland but not from crafting.. :D
I spent this Sunday making 1st birthday card on request... Here it is..

I scratched my head alot and came up with this animal themed card.... Its a stepper card.. Pattern papers are a mix of MME and  EP. Have a closure look now..

I found these animal stickers at a local shop here in Bangalore. Aren't these cute?? I loved the set. I made the grass by cutting one side of a green paper strip with my criss cross scissors and then fringed the strip. To give jungle look, I made the tree by drawing tree and its branches on different pattern papers..
I decorated the envelope too.. As usual :)

I really liked the way it turned out... How about you?

Entering into following challenges:
1. Simon says stamps - Animals Antics
2. Hooked on craft- Something Bright
3. Divas by design - Anything goes
4. Dream Valley - Animals
5. Die cutting divas - Anything goes
6. Craft spot by kimberly - Anything goes
7. Lily pads -  Pattern Papers
8. Scrapbooksisters - Numbers
9. My mums craft shop - Fab and funky

Cheers,
Priya...
